Just because it's not official doesn't mean that people won't use a word. For instance, although British political parties have existed for centuries, the title as leader of the opposition, or "Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition" the head of the largest political party not part of the government) was not official in a technical sense until 1937.
